Mrs. Mendygral
My name is Mrs. Jacqueline Mendygral and I am a graduate student at the University of Central Florida. I am looking to receive my Master's in Elementary Education in the fall of 2014. I am a career changer because my bachelor's is in interior design. After working in visual merchandising and also at Walt Disney World, I decided I wanted to go down a different road. My personal mantra, and what has gotten be through all of this is a quote from Invictus, "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."
I believe that anything is possible and it never to late to make your dreams come true. That is what I will instill in my students. If you have a question there is an answer it just might take some time to find it. The journey is the exciting part.
I created the Social Studies DBQ to investigate the influence music had on slave life and ultimately their freedom. I was curious after reading the book Henry's Freedom Box by Ellen Levine. What I found was great primary and secondary sources that invited me to look further.
